Atopic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease caused by allergic reactions to environmental substances such as pollen, moulds, dust mites, and certain foods. Symptoms typically include severe itching, redness, and recurrent skin infections. This condition can significantly impact a dog's quality of life, leading to discomfort, anxiety, and behavioural changes.

Dogs with atopic dermatitis often exhibit excessive scratching, licking, chewing, or rubbing of their skin. These behaviours can lead to hair loss, open sores, and secondary bacterial or yeast infections. Commonly affected areas include the face, ears, paws, abdomen, and armpits. If left untreated, the condition can worsen, causing chronic skin damage and increased susceptibility to infections.

Cytopoint 10mg for Dogs is a biological therapy that works by mimicking the natural immune system response. It contains a monoclonal antibody specifically designed to bind to canine IL-31. When injected, these antibodies circulate in the dog's body and neutralise IL-31, effectively blocking the itch signal. This action provides rapid relief, often within 24 hours, and can last for up to four to eight weeks, depending on the individual dog's response. This duration of action allows for less frequent dosing compared to traditional therapies such as tablets, making it a convenient option.

Epilease Capsules 250mg - Pack of 60

Epilease Capsules 250mg - Pack of 60

Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that affects dogs, causing seizures that can range from mild to severe. The seizures are caused by abnormal electrical activity in the brain, and they can be very distressing for both the dog and the owner. Fortunately, there are medications available that can help manage the seizures and improve the quality of life for the dog. One such medication is Epilease 250mg.

250mg Epilease is a type of anticonvulsant medication that works by blocking certain receptors in the brain that are responsible for the abnormal electrical activity. This helps to stabilize the electrical activity in the brain, which reduces the likelihood of seizures. Epilease is usually administered orally, and it is important to follow the dosage instructions provided by your veterinarian carefully.

Epilease Capsules for Dogs contain potassium bromide, an active ingredient known for its efficacy in controlling seizures. Potassium bromide works by stabilising electrical activity in the brain, thus reducing the likelihood of seizure occurrence.

Zycortal for Dogs

Zycortal for Dogs - 4ml

Zycortal for Dogs is the new licensed treatment for Addisons Disease in Dogs and replaces Florinef Tablets. Zycortal contains a long-acting analog of desoxycorticosterone (DOCP), so an injection is only required every 3-4 weeks. Hypoadrenocorticism, more commonly known as Addison's disease, is a condition that can significantly impact the health and wellbeing of dogs. Addison's disease occurs when the adrenal glands do not produce enough of certain hormones, leading to a range of symptoms that can affect a dog's quality of life.

Zycortal for Dogs is the leading solution in managing Addison's disease, offering improved health outcomes for affected dogs. Symptoms of Addison's disease can include vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy and lack of appetite.

Zycortal DOCP (Deoxycorticosterone Pivalate) is a synthetic analogue of the naturally occurring hormone aldosterone. It is administered via injection and works by replacing the hormones that the dog's body is unable to produce. This helps to regulate the balance of sodium and potassium in the body, which is crucial for normal bodily functions. The Zycortal Injection is specifically designed to provide a long-lasting effect, helping to maintain this balance over an extended period.
