Ekyflogyl Gel for Horses - 125ml

Ekyflogyl Gel for Horses is a unique, topical corticosteroid gel designed specifically for horses suffering from localised musculoskeletal disorders. 125ml Ekyflogyl Gel is the only topical corticosteroid gel for horses licensed in the UK.

Musculoskeletal disorders are a common ailment in horses, with a significant percentage of horses developing at least one kind of musculoskeletal disorder during their lifetime. These disorders can cause inflammation and pain, affecting the horse's mobility and quality of life. Ekyflogyl for Horses offers a targeted solution to these issues, providing relief from pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as tendinitis, splints, arthritis, desmitis, muscle strain, and haematoma.

Ekyflogyl Gel for Horses has a unique composition of three key ingredients: prednisolone, lidocaine, and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). Prednisolone is a deep-acting corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, providing relief from pain and reducing inflammation. Lidocaine is a fast-acting local anaesthetic, offering immediate relief by directly acting on pain transmission. DMSO promotes the penetration of these active substances through the skin, ensuring the effective delivery of the treatment to the affected area.

Description

125ml Ekyflogyl Gel is available in a bottle with a dosing pump, making it easy for veterinarians or horse owners to apply the gel. The gel's consistency allows for easy, day-to-day application, and it can be applied to a localised area over the underlying lesion with a small brush. If needed, a non-compressive dressing may be applied to cover the treated area. The treatment should be continued until the clinical signs are resolved, but it is recommended not to use the product for more than 12 days.

Ekyflogyl for Horses is a testament to Audevard's commitment to providing unique medicines to UK Equine vets, complementing their existing equine orthopaedic range. It is a bestselling solution on the continent and is already known by many UK equine vets for its efficacy, versatility, and ease of use.
